Ethnic segregation as measured by the Entropy Index provides a measure of how homogeneous or diversified an area is in respect to others. Where the Index is computed as 0 this implies a fully homogeneous ethic composition. This dataset provides all 2011 Output Areas with a computed Entropy Index of 0. The dataset is based on univariate statistics on ethnicity at Output Area level as derived by Geolytix [geolytix.co.uk] and provided via the UK Data Service Census Support (UKBORDERS). The Entropy Index was derived using Apparicio, Philippe, Éric Fournier and Denis Apparicio (2012). Geo-Segregation Analyzer: a multi-platform application (version 1.0). Montreal, Spatial Analysis and Regional Economics Laboratory (SAREL), INRS Urbanisation Culture Société. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2013-04-15 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-22.
