Description:
Electricity demand response (DR) is the capability of the electricity consumers to adjust their consumption according to the needs of the grid. Demand response is especially important as a means to mitigate the variability in renewable generation. To adequately integrate DR and renewable generation into the grid operations, an intermediary entity called aggregator coordinates the small-scale DR to efficiently allocate these resources and ensure the viability of DR provision. These instances were designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed optimization model to maximise the profit of the aggregator.
