This dataset contains 24-bit, 44.1 KHz audio recordings of 16 speakers of Phnom Penh Khmer made as part of the study "Incipient tonogenesis in Phnom Penh Khmer: acoustic and perceptual studies". All recordings were made in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in July 2011 using a Marantz PMD-661 solid state recorder and a Beyerdynamic Opus 55.18 Mk II omnidirectional headset condenser microphone. Segmented Praat TextGrids are also included.Files corresponding to each subject (s1, s2...) are included in their own directory. These include sound recordings (.wav) and segmentation information (Praat .TextGrid) along with various Praat analysis files (.Pitch, .Formant, .PointProcess).
