dc.description |
This section of English 151 will focus on writing, reading, and discussing texts that explore
the boundaries that define our lives—how and why they are formed, reinforced, and/or
challenged. As a writing community, we will investigate the cultural, social, political, and
aesthetic forces that shape our notions of insiders and outsiders. We will consider how
language and images are used in traditional and experimental ways to create and
navigate categories of identity, place, and genre. In doing so, we will work to improve our
own abilities to craft effective, meaningful arguments. |
