dc.description This seminar is designed to introduce the student to the history of Nazi Germany. It will cover the end of the Weimar Republic; the life and ideology of Adolf Hitler; the Nazi take-over of power in 1933; Nazi domestic and foreign policy in the pre-war years; German successes, setbacks and eventual defeat in World War II; Nazi occupation policy; and Nazi policy towards the Jews and the Holocaust.
