dc.description Includes bibliographical references (p. 88-91).
dc.description Sir Thomas Malory too often is considered to be a redactor of other tellings of the Arthuriad, uninterested in developing characters and overly invested in narrating action scenes in Le Morte Darthur. This thesis brings together analysis of various characters in the Morte, with emphasis on Arthur, Guinevere, and Launcelot, toward the argument that Malory in fact creates his characters through their actions with a specific vision for the conclusion of his unique Arthuriad.
