My internship was spent working in collections, education, and volunteer coordination at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Time in collections was spent inventorying and cataloging. The biggest collection that I worked on was the Public Relations Files, creating a rough Finding Aid. When working in education we created the summer tour, and I helped to give the summer tour as well as several of their regular tours. Volunteer coordination helped me learn how to handle volunteers as well as scheduling them for regular hours and special events.M.A.
